Sunandan Ray

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Sunandan has been in the logistics industry since 1989. He established and managed operating companies in the USA, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and Turkey on behalf of MSAS Cargo International (now part of DHL/Deutsche Post) from 1989 to 1997. He successfully negotiated a management buyout of these companies and grew the group to a US$50 million enterprise over 10 years before selling it to French transportation company, Group Bollore.

Additionally, Sunandan built and sold a group of software companies called Sunrise Group between 1992 and 1996, which generated over US$10 million in revenue at the time of sale. Prior to his logistics career, Sunandan worked for Price Waterhouse (now PWC) for 10 years in London, The Hague, and New York from 1979 to 1989. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (London, UK) and holds a Masters in Science (Technology) in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, India. Sunandan currently resides in Long Island, New York, with his wife Monica, a botanical artist.

Eli Kay

Chief Financial Officer

Eli Kay assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Unique Logistics International Inc. in 2021, where he oversees all financial management aspects of the company, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance. Prior to his current position, he served as the CFO for Transit Wireless LLC from 2019 to 2020, where he exclusively provided wireless infrastructure in the New York City Subway. From 2016 to 2019, he served as the CFO for JFKIAT, a joint venture between Delta Airlines and Royal Schiphol Group, which operated at JFK International Airport. Eli also served as the CFO for the Chicago Skyway and the Indiana Toll Road Concession Companies in Chicago from 2013 to 2016, both of which were owned by private equity infrastructure funds. Before that, he held several senior management positions in finance and accounting roles with two publicly traded manufacturing companies from 2006 to 2013. Eli started his career as an auditor in public accounting, working for Moss Adams LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in 1997. He holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Oregon and is a licensed CPA.

Christian Sur

Executive Vice President, Ocean Freight

Christian is the Executive Vice-President at Unique Logistics International, responsible for overseeing the company’s ocean freight and contract logistics products. Prior to joining Unique Logistics, Christian served in senior commercial and marketing positions at major steamship lines such as Hanjin Shipping/SM Lines since 1991. His focus was on organizational management and business development for key clients like Walmart, Target Stores, Nike, HP, Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, Costco, Samsung, LG, and Electrolux. Throughout his career, Christian held global marketing and sales leadership roles in various locations such as Long Beach, CA; Paramus, NJ; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA, and Seoul, Korea. Christian graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Economics/Political Science. He currently resides in Southern California with his wife of over 25 years and their three children.

Mark Khayat

Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing

With over 30 years of experience in the logistics industry, Mark has maintained a focus on building sales teams that provide comprehensive global solutions for customers. As Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Unique Logistics International, Mark oversees the company's commercial activities. 

Prior to joining Unique Logistics, Mark served in Senior Commercial, Sales and Marketing positions with UPS throughout the US, as well as France and the UAE. His primary areas of focus revolved around building and leading large global sales and marketing teams, developing global sales strategies and managing complex foreign acquisitions.

Mark was born in Lebanon, grew up in California and now resides in Texas with his wife of over 36 years. He holds a BA in Economics from UCLA.

Dawn Lowry

Executive Vice President, Customs Services

Dawn Lowry has been involved in Supply Chain Management since 1995, and began her career with Unique Logistics International (BOS), Inc., formerly known as Dynasty International, Inc. At Unique Logistics International, she started as the Vice President of Operations and later became the President and minority owner in 2012. In May of 2020, Dawn took the position of Executive Vice President of Customs Brokerage and Compliance, leveraging her license as a broker, with a specific focus on expanding customs brokerage services for Unique Logistics International in the United States. She currently resides in Massachusetts on the North Shore with her husband Stephen, whom she has been married to since 1998, and their three children, Gabrielle, Aidan, and Colin.

Scott Brindisi

Vice President, Customer Solutions

Scott Brindisi has served as the Vice President of Customer Solutions at Unique Logistics International since 2021, bringing over 2 decades of experience to the table. He leads a team of key account managers, ensuring seamless supply chain solutions for their clients worldwide.

Before his current role, Scott held key positions at DB Schenker and EFL with a focus in sales strategy, account management, and sustainability initiatives.

Originally from New York, Scott relocated to Apex, North Carolina, many years ago with his wife of over two decades, their son, and their daughter. Beyond his professional endeavors, Scott enjoys helping local charities with his sports car club.
