Sunandan Ray
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Sunandan has been in the logistics industry since 1989. He established and managed operating companies in the USA, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and Turkey on behalf of MSAS Cargo International (now part of DHL/Deutsche Post) from 1989 to 1997. He successfully negotiated a management buyout of these companies and grew the group to a US$50 million enterprise over 10 years before selling it to French transportation company, Group Bollore.
Additionally, Sunandan built and sold a group of software companies called Sunrise Group between 1992 and 1996, which generated over US$10 million in revenue at the time of sale. Prior to his logistics career, Sunandan worked for Price Waterhouse (now PWC) for 10 years in London, The Hague, and New York from 1979 to 1989. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (London, UK) and holds a Masters in Science (Technology) in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, India. Sunandan currently resides in Long Island, New York, with his wife Monica, a botanical artist.
David Briones
Director
Mr. Briones is the founder and managing member of Brio Financial Group since its inception in October 2010, with numerous years of public accounting and executive level experience. He consults with various public companies in financial reporting, internal control development and evaluation, budgeting and forecasting. Since March 2019, Mr. Briones has also been the Chief Financial Officer of Hoth Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOTH), a biopharmaceutical company. From August 2013 to January 2020, Mr. Briones was the Chief Financial Officer for Petro River Oil Corp., an independent energy company focused on the exploration and development of conventional oil and gas assets. From October 2017 to May 2018 Mr. Briones was the Chief Financial Officer of Bitzumi, Inc., a Bitcoin exchange and marketplace.
Patrick MB Lee
Director
Patrick MB Lee brings together extensive experience in senior management roles in freight forwarding and warehousing. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in two global logistics companies, including Management Trainee, Business Development Coordinator, and Logistics Operations Coordinator.
From 2005 to 2012, Patrick served as the Business Development Director for Unique Logistics Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based freight forwarding company. Following that, he held the position of Executive Vice President at Unique Logistics Holdings Limited from 2012 to 2017. Since 2017, Patrick has assumed the role of Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) and has also become a Board Member of the company.
Patrick's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia in Canada, as well as an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University in England.
